TIP: This is available only to Galileo Plus (Merlin) users.
Staff professional development, participation in extracurricular events, and accreditation work are just a few examples of the things administrators take notes on and document in Galileo Plus. The notes can be categorized and printed.
1. Click Merlin>Staff>Notes.
2. Use the down arrow on the Center drop-down menu to select the center in which the staff member is assigned.
3. Use the down arrow on the Staff drop-down menu to select the staff member on whom you wish to:
a. add a note
b. edit a note/make a new entry for the same subject
d. print a note
4. Click the Add a new note link.
5. Select the staff member(s) for whom you would like to create a note.
6. Type the name of this category of notes in the textbox next to the Subject label.
7. Determine if you would like to attach an optional image. Click the Choose File button to find that image on your computer.
8. To type a note using the text editor tools.
9. Click the Save button.
10. You are automatically taken back to the Staff Notes page, where you can see the subject of your new note and the date and the time it was last modified.
11. Click the pencil icon or the Subject link for the desired note.
12. Make the necessary changes.
13. Click the Save button.
14. You are automatically taken back to the Staff Notes page, where you can see the subject of your note and the date and the time it was last modified.
Deleting notes will remove the whole subject and all entries under this subject. If you wish to save the subject and simply delete an entry, refer to Edit Staff Notes or Make a New Entry Under the Same Subject heading.
15. Click the trashcan icon next to the note you wish to delete.
16. To print notes for:
a. the entire center, click the Print Staff Notes for Center link.
b. a single subject, click the printer icon under the Display Note heading for the desired note.
c. all the subjects related to a particular staff member click the printer icon under the Display all Notes for Staff Member heading for the desired note.
