Galileo also provides you with Form Builder, which gives an agency the capability to create additional data fields to record additional children information such as primary language, disability, etc. Information can populated into a form through the import process, manually enter information for one child at a time, or manually enter information for multiple students either a single common response for all students or individual answers for one item for all children (called the Group Data Entry).
Please Note: To enter information on students not currently enrolled in a class or center, you must do a search on that child. Once the child is found you may complete forms as needed.
1. Click either:
a. Child/Family>Records>Child.
b. Merlin>Child>Demographics.
2. If necessary, use the drop-down field to select the Center in which the child for whom you would like to record information is enrolled.
3. If necessary, use the drop-down Class field to select the class in which the child for whom you would like to record information is enrolled.
4. If necessary, use the drop-down Child field to select the child whom you like to record information.
5. Use the drop-down menu to select the Form you wish to fill out.
6. Enter the requested information.
7. Click the Save button.
8. If you wish to completely clear a form of data, click the Clear Form link to the right of the Form drop-down menu.
To retrieve information about the children, access the Child Demographics page. Once you’ve selected a child and the appropriate form (the General Child Info form houses the information entered when the child is added to Galileo) the window will refresh to give you that child’s information.
