Galileo allows users to generate a variety of reports that are intended to give educators valuable information about children, learning, teaching, and progress. Galileo keeps an electronic history of children data, enabling users to generate reports for any date in time for which data was recorded. In Galileo a person’s user level determines the level of report aggregation he or she has access to. Report aggregation corresponds to user level in the following way:
Report Aggregation | User Level: Class |
User Level: Center |
User Level: Agency |

Report filters are used to print reports for specific groups of children. Filters allow you to look at aggregated data. For example, you may print a report for a specific group of children based on demographic information, age or home language. Click here for a handout explaining how to use the report filters.
You have the option of selecting the format of your reports. You may select the usual Adobe PDF format, the Microsoft Excel format, or Rich Text Format (RTF) format. The RTF format allows you to save these reports in another format such as Word. The output you select will affect all reports, including Lesson Plans, Rosters, and Notes. Your may change the setting at any time, depending on the type of report you wish to view. Refer to the Settings page for further details.
The School Readiness Scales should be used for reporting purposes. Refer to the School Readiness page for additional information on using the School Readiness Scales.
The Estimated Growth and Predicted Development page can provide assistance in data analysis.
